Enquiries and consultation lessons

In order to make an enquiry about our tuition, please fill in the online enquiry form so we can be in touch by email. Please check your spam folder. We will only respond to enquiries from those aged 18 or over seeking lessons for themselves or for their child (if they are the parent or legal guardian).

In our email correspondence we will offer a free initial discussion and consultation lesson with you and (if applicable) your child at a mutually agreed time with one of our tutors, so we can show you what we offer and discuss all the relevant information and any queries you may have.

If you are interested in joining the Virtuoso Project, will assign a tutor to you based on our availability and your preferences, and inform you of their teaching rate.

For weekly lessons, if the assigned tutor is not the same as your initial consultation lesson tutor, we offer an additional free consultation lesson with the assigned tutor.

For masterclasses, the assigned tutor will likely be different to the consultation meeting tutor.

Joining the Virtuoso Project

In order to learn effectively at the Virtuoso Project, you will need a suitable laptop, updated zoom software and suitable internet connection capable of receiving and broadcasting audio and video without significant interruption. These requirements can be discussed during the consultation lesson. An additional smartphone for a second angle/USB speakers are highly recommended, but not necessary.

If you are happy with your assigned tutor, a contract will be signed between the student (or student’s parent or guardian) and the tutor, containing their terms and conditions.

Weekly lessons will take place during the weeks corresponding to the UK school term, excluding holidays, unless otherwise agreed between the tutor and student.

Invoice

For weekly lessons, we invoice students at the start of the month for all lessons taking place during that period.

For masterclasses, we invoice students after the consultation discussion/lesson and prior to the masterclass.

Notice Period

A minimum notice period of one month must be given in writing if you wish to leave the Virtuoso Project. If you do not inform us before the minimum notice period, we may still charge you for the lessons of the notice period.

Cancellations

Students can cancel a lesson or masterclass up to 48 hours before. The Virtuoso Project will offer a lesson credit which may be carried out at an agreed time in the future. A maximum of 2 lesson credits will be offered every month.

If a tutor is unavailable for a lesson, we will notify you and provide another Virtuoso Project tutor to substitute for them, or if you prefer, offer a lesson credit or refund.

Technical Issues

Unfortunately, technical issues can sometimes be unforeseen and unavoidable in online teaching. If technical issues arise at our end, we will offer either a make-up credit or a full refund. If technical issues arise at your end, the lesson is still billable.

Data Protection

When you enquire about us, we will ask for some details from you in order to respond. Students who enrol (or parents/guardians for those under 18) will be required to fill out a more detailed registration form so that we can carry out our services properly. We only ask for the information we need, and do not hold it any longer than necessary. For a detailed explanation of our Privacy Policy please read [Privacy Policy Page]

Safeguarding

The safety of your child is of serious importance. Virtuoso Project requires all tutors to hold valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance to demonstrate suitability to work with minors, and agree to operate within our Safeguarding and Codes of Conduct Policy [attach link]. Parents or guardians are obliged to accompany their child for the full duration of the initial discussion and consultation lesson(s). Once enrolled, parents or guardians must sign into zoom sessions for their children, but are not required to be present for the full duration of the lesson (although being within earshot is recommended for keeping track of their progress and to help with any technical issues).
